Mission Statement: The Wintergreen Nature Foundation conducts educational programs on Virginia's natural history for adults and children year round. Additionally, the Wintergreen Nature Foundation offers two annual weekend long programs including the Spring Wildflower Symposium in May and Virginia's Natural History Weekend Retreat in September. These programs bring together some of the state's leading feild scientists for an educational and enjoyable weekend of lectures, field trips and workshops.
